So I got Fitocracy yesterday, and I have to say.. I’m a little bit in love with it.
Up to this point, I was not able to find an app that had all of the equipment and/or exercises that I do in my workouts. However, Fitocracy has changed my life! It even has Crossfit exercises!!
I was so excited that I worked up a storm at the gym this morning, and got a whopping 824 points. I can’t wait to set the bar higher for myself next time around!
Anyway, as you already know, I have been on a part-time paleo diet for several weeks now. It has really been difficult at times, but it has unfortunately not led to the results that I was hoping for. On the positive side, my body felt so clean and unbloated, but at the same time, it also felt like it was lacking something.. and I was always constantly hungry. I am not a fan of any type of “diets”, and feel no differently about the paleo diet. I guess I just wanted to see if I had the willpower and mentality to go through with it. Although I did follow it 5 days out of the week (for almost 4 weeks), I found myself over-consuming the things that I was restricting myself from on the weekends. That reason, alone, is why I hate diets. The whole restricting thing is why most diets fail in the first place (even though my reason for trying this was not about weight loss). Therefore, I have decided to drop paleo, and resume my normal dietary habits. That way, I feel that my body is still getting everything that it needs and won’t feel the urge to gorge myself after the 5 days are up. However, I will still be having meals that are considered paleo, but will also be re-introducing grains, dairy, and legumes back into my diet.
That being said, here’s my meal for lunch! I had 1/2 of a turkey spinach patty, 1/4 avocado, and some of my pepita kale & cranberry salad that I picked up from Central Market earlier this week.
